  By far my favorite supermarket. The manager Jose is a wonderful guy, ensuring a very personal experience. Highly recommend Gelson's in general but this location in particular.

  It's somewhat comparable to "Whole Paycheck" aka Whole Foods, as for the prices, but they make a wonderful baguette for a reasonable price. Also, the five and ten dollar mail coupons are what really gets me in there. Yeah, sure, you might think, "Five bucks; big deal," but for a minimum twenty-five dollar purchase it has a psychological effect that I'm not getting so taken advantage of. And besides, it is in an exclusive area of multi-million dollar homes, so it is what it is. Overall I'm getting used to shopping here on occasion, and I *think* the management and employee attitudes are improving, as I did not get a great impression in the earlier years (not snooty, or overtly rude, but just some sort of *distant* attitude that made me feel uncomfortable—even the manager(s)).
